Work with young people
Partnership work
WEP coordinated a service providers group (until October 2008) bringing together youth workers, youth clubs, the police, Regents’ Park officers, Camden Housing officers and others to coordinate service delivery in the area.
A youth strategy group has also met and reviewed provisions and directions for the future in 2007 and 2008. Partnership work has been increasingly important with the ending of funding for direct delivery of projects by WEP.
Changes to Camden council funding, as well as the recognition that staff working with young people need support that is specialised, has meant that WEP has taken a role more recently in fundraising for work with young people rather than in delivery.
