Open Space and young people

Cumberland Market workshops

Some of the more challenging work over the years has included exploring the racial aspect of the use of open space in terms of areas that had become used by Bangladeshi young people and those that had become seen as for white young people.

To some extent, this territorial use of open space in the West Euston area remains today although the WEP believe they have contributed to reducing this and to promoting a greater understanding between communities as well as between generations.
