West Euston Partnership

Health and Wellbeing

Projects and activities

We provide a range of activities to help people adopt healthier lifestyles and improve their awareness of and access to other services. We also encourage and facilitate community involvement in the WEHCP.  Our partners are involved in ensuring that all members of the community are able to engage in a healthy living activity.  As part of the WEHCP:

The Third Age Project is responsible for delivering services to improve the health and independence of, and social contact for older people with a particular focus on those who are isolated, housebound and/or have a long-term condiition/disability.  They aim to do this via projects including chair based exercise, health talks in different languages etc.

West Euston Time Bank supports volunteers to acquire new skills and increase their confidence through delivering services to the community using Time Bank principles.  Actvities focus on supporting the community to improve their health and include a Community Cafe, Mother and Baby Drop-In and a Homework Club.

Green Light Pharmacy works closely with people, in particular those from Black and Minority Ethnic communities, in managing their health eg. through health screening, Diabetes Support Groups, Health walks etc.

The Bengali Workers’ Association support older Bangladeshi women to access GP services by developing and expanding the GP outreach service.  They also deliver services to young people.

The West Euston Partnership coordinate the delivery of exercise for parents.

Current projects include:
• Chair based exercise classes for local residents over 50
