About
Projects that benefit local people
West Euston Partnership projects are the information, advice and guidance work carried out at our local centre the One Stop Shop where professional impartial advice on careers, training and jobs is available. This community venue is also the Partnership’s local base. WEP has the lead coordination and management role in the Big Lottery funded West Euston Healthy Community Project, tackling heath inequalities and promoting healthy living, including the development and management of a new community building, the H-pod linked to the local Doctor’s surgery.
As positive work to support young people has been central to the aims and objectives of the partnership since the earliest stage, WEP has helped local young people to get involved creatively in regeneration and become more engaged in local democratic processes.
Successful fundraising has meant that thousands of local people have benefited both in the West Euston Neighborhood Renewal Priority Area as well as Camden wide. Many projects were made possible with Single Regeneration Budget, have been developed, and continue with new funding, for example: the Third Age Project, the Headstart Learning centre at Netley school, the One Stop Shop advice and guidance centre. The projects themselves also help to change and influence, by showing new ways of working to benefit and involve local people.
